These terms apply to the SudokuByte iPhone app and website, made by ByteSize Data Solutions, LLC. By using SudokuByte you agree to them. On iPhone, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Free to play

Every puzzle, lesson and hint in SudokuByte is free, with no ads.

Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in secure and give accurate information. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

Fair play

Ranked scores are checked by our server. Don't try to manipulate scores, leaderboards or the service. We may remove scores or accounts that do, and display names that are offensive or impersonate someone.

The AI tutor subscription

The AI tutor is an optional auto-renewing monthly subscription. The price is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account's Subscriptions settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Each subscription includes a fair-use allowance of tutor time that refills every month. The app shows how much you have used. The tutor is an AI: its answers are checked against each puzzle's solution, but it can still be wrong, so use it as a helper.

Tips

Tips ("Buy me a coffee") are voluntary one-time purchases that support the project. They do not unlock any content.

Content and the service

SudokuByte, its puzzles, lessons and software belong to ByteSize Data Solutions, LLC. You may share puzzle IDs and your results freely. We work to keep SudokuByte available, but it is provided as is, and we may change or discontinue features. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months.
